Parts of an RSS Feed Post

Parts of an RSS Feed Post

  • Title
  • Source URL
  • Description/content (not required)
  • Media (not required)

To get these elements, we read an XML file that contains some or all of the parts above. The XML file should contain the following elements to correspond to the parts of the RSS Feed Post:

  • <title> corresponds to Title
  • <link> corresponds to Source URL
  • <description> corresponds to Description/content
  • <enclosure> corresponds to Media

We've found that many RSS Feeds do not include the <enclosure> element, which pulls in an image. 😭 We suggest using Zapier's RSS Integrations as an in-between to get the best formatting for your RSS XML file—and pull in an image for your RSS Feed.
